Brand assets
The logo, and how to use it.
Every variant we publish, as SVG. Choose by the ground it will sit on, not by which one you like — that single rule is the one most often broken, and it is the one that makes the logo disappear.
These URLs are stable. Hotlink them if that is easier than hosting a copy: a file here may be replaced, but it will not be renamed or moved. Press and partners need no permission for the uses below. For anything else, or for a format that isn’t here, write to contact@vesper-aero.com.
The lockup
The full signature
The figure, Vesper, a divider rule, thenAerospace. This is the default form and the one to reach for wherever it fits. The lettering ships as outlines, so it needs no font and must never be re-set.

When the slot is too short for the full name
The same lockup with the divider and Aerospace not drawn. It is an omission, never a re-setting — the outlines and the baseline are the ones above.
The test for reaching for it is arithmetic, not taste. The full lockup is4.481:1; in a short, wide box it landsAerospace under 8 px and a second word nobody can read is worse than not having one. The wordmark is3.087:1 and clears it.
Not on anything legal, contractual or registered. An invoice, a contract, a letter footer and a legal notice take the full form — the registered name is Vesper Aerospace.

The figure alone
A person with their arms raised — a head, arms, legs. It is not an abstract monogram, and reading it as one is how it ends up redrawn. Use the mark without the wordmark only where the name is already present or the slot is square.
vesper-mark-square-light.svg
The same square on a light plate, where a dark tile would read as a hole.

The one that travels by URL
These two are not a sixth ground — they are a different kind of file. A mail client cannot carry an attachment-free logo, so the signature blocklinks to one of these and the reader's mail app fetches it. Reference the URL; do not copy the file into a template.

The one in the shipped template. Colour treatment.
/media/logo/vesper-signature-wordmark.pngvesper-signature-wordmark-mono.png
Black and grey treatment. Not in the shipped template — the option is open.
/media/logo/vesper-signature-wordmark-mono.pngThree things about these files that are deliberate
- PNG, not SVG. Outlook for Windows renders mail through Word, which has never supported SVG.
- Exactly 2× the 140 × 45 display box. The template sets
widthandheighton the image; a raster at any other ratio is a stretch. - An opaque white plate, not transparency. Gmail on Android and Outlook.com recolour light HTML for a dark inbox and never recolour images, so a transparent logo in near-black would end up dark on dark and vanish. The white card is the fix, not a mistake to be exported away.
Their URLs are referenced by messages already sent, on machines nobody can reach. They will be replaced in place if they ever change; they will never be renamed or moved.
Colour
Four values, and which one is the source
On paper, specify the CMYK. The red has been authored as an ink since 2015 and every hex here is a conversion of one — reversing that direction is how a brand colour drifts a shade at a time.
Vesper red
#E44E2A
C7 M85 Y100 K0
The brand. Specified as this ink since 2015; the hex is Adobe’s conversion of it.
Logo grey
#C7C8CA
Screen only
The arms, unchanged in every asset since 2018. No separation is specified — ask before printing it.
Ink
#0A0E1A
C60 M45 Y30 K100
The ground. A rich black, pinned so a flooded surface does not print as dark grey.
Amber
#F59E0B
Screen only
The one accent. Not a third brand colour, and never the logo.
Rules
What the files assume
Do
- Pick by ground. The arms are grey, and grey measures 1.67:1 on white — at small sizes on a light page the top half of the figure simply vanishes. That is what the
-inkand-monovariants are for. - Scale uniformly. The clear space is already inside the viewBox — keep it clear and the spacing takes care of itself.
- Use the SVG. It is resolution-independent and it carries the real 2018 lettering as outlines.
- Write the name in full — Vesper Aerospace — anywhere legal, contractual or registered. Vesper alone is fine in running copy.
Don’t
- Don’t redraw the figure. There is no construction grid behind it. The shape is given; recolour and scale it, never rebuild it.
- Don’t re-set the wordmark. It is outlines of Uni Sans, not text. Re-setting it in another face has been tried, and it was wrong in four measurable ways.
- Don’t recolour the arms. The grey is not a placeholder for a colour nobody chose.
- Don’t stretch it, and don’t put the red legs on a red ground. There is a variant built for that.
- No effects. No shadow, glow, bevel, gradient or outline, on any part of it.
