Who they are
Deshons Hydraulique designs and manufactures aircraft ground support equipment from Saint-Chamas, half an hour from our own base: mobile hydraulic ground power units, hydraulic test benches, maintenance cranes and the accessories that go with them: the equipment maintenance crews connect to an aircraft to prove its hydraulic systems behave as they should.
They describe themselves as the “sous-traitant idéal pour des réalisations de produits de haute technicité”, and the customer list bears it out: civil and military airframers, helicopter manufacturers, airlines, MRO providers and the French defence establishment — including the DGA and the Armée de l’Air.
The challenges
An industrial SME carries the same data problems as a prime, without a prime’s back office to absorb them.
Every record matters, and there are not many people. Clients, suppliers, invoices, orders, routings, bills of material, works orders. One system holds all of it, and the team maintaining that system is small.
Migration has no safe window. A manufacturer cannot pause production while its system of record changes underneath it. Cutover has to be right the first time.
Traceability is a customer requirement, not an internal preference. Supplying equipment into aviation means being able to show what was built, from which parts, to which revision.
Where we fit
We took the ERP migration end to end as PMO and data engineering: planning through to production, building the conversion pipelines that carried the full industrial scope across: clients, suppliers, invoices, orders, routings, bills of material and works orders.
The engagement did not end at cutover. We continue to support the business on industrial process improvement and on evolving the BI tooling that sits on top of the migrated data.
